Liann Cline is a NYC-based harpist and private harp instructor. Liann enjoys exploring all kinds of music and will with equal vigor go from big band orchestra parts to contemporary new music scores.

Since moving to NYC in 2015, she has performed with many orchestras and ensembles including the The Chelsea Symphony, The Grammy-winning 8-Bit Big Band, Queer Urban Orchestra, Broadway Sinfonietta, Wavefield Ensemble, Centre Symphony Orchestra, The Riverside Orchestra, Gateway Classical Music Society, Camerata Notturna, the Dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, Blue Hill Troupe, Litha Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra at Shelter Rock. Additionally, she provides solo harp for weddings, funerals, and special events.

She can be heard on the Original Concept Album Recording of Kalevala The Musical, The 8-Bit Big Bands’ ALBUM 2 - CHOOSE YOUR CHARACTER (2019), ALBUM 3 - BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE (2021) and the soon-to-be-released ALBUM 4 (2023), as well as Clayton G Williams’ album PolyMuse, and the TikTok musical For You, Paige.

She has performed afternoon tea at the St. Regis New York, and returned to her home state of Michigan from 2017 through 2021 as resident harpist of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.

She received a Master of Music degree with an emphasis in music performance from the Shenandoah Conservatory in May 2015, where she studied with Bridgett Stuckey. In May of 2012, Liann graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance, where she studied with Elizabeth Richter and was a recipient of a Young Artist Scholarship. She attended the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy, where she studied with Joan Raeburn Holland.
